Around Darrynane

Darrynane is an ideal base for all types of activities from just sitting in the garden bird watching to exploring the south west of England.

Nearby we have the massive open spaces of Bodmin Moor, finest Cornish moorland for walkers and ramblers, The Camel Trail, which runs all the way to Padstow, for cyclists, and both trout and coarse fishing.

A little further away both coasts with their wonderful surfing beaches and sandy coves are easily accessible, as well as the towns of Wadebridge, Bodmin and Bude. You can even get your groceries delivered by our local shop, ASDA and Tesco.

The Eden Project and Lost Gardens of Helligan are a short drive away.

For those interested there is shark fishing in Looe, flights to the Isles of Scilly from Newquay and the Maritime Museum in Falmouth.

Swimmers and surfers can find a number of fine beaches a short drive away including Polzeath, Trebarwith, Treyarnon, Widemouth and of course Newquay.

There is much to do in Cornwall, a lot of it totally free (apart from any car parking charges!)

And, at the end of your day, you can come back to your self catering cottage holiday home here at Darrynane, and leave all the hustle and bustle behind you.
